Friday Favorites: SEPHORA

Happy Friday!

I love, love, love SEPHORA! It is like a candy shop for grown ups. It is pretty much a one stop shop for us girls. I have pieced together some of my favorites I have purchased there.

1. Make Up For Ever in flamingo pink. This blush is great for anytime of the year. It adds just enough color to show of those wonderful cheek bones. // 2. Josie Moran lipstick in playful pink. This lipstick is designed with argan oil to hydrate your lips all day long. // 3. Butter Nail Lacquer in tropical fuchsia pink is great for spring and summer. The color is truly beautiful and it applies very nicely. // 4. Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in sheer berry rose in pink case. This lip treatment is great to keep your lips moisturized and it adds a sheer tint of pink. You can add it under any lipstick color, and it will look great.  // 5.  Beauty Blender is a great tool for all over face color blending. I use mine mostly with concealing, contouring and highlighting. // 6.  Urben Decay Naked Palette is a top seller everywhere, and it is well worth the money. I use mine almost every day. The colors last all day long and are a great way to show off your eyes.

What are your beauty favorites?

All Things Pink

Happy Hump Day!

Inspiration Board Wednesdays: All things pink!

I think every girl at some point in her life was obsessed with the color PINK. I just happen to still be a little obsessed with it. It is hard for me to get away with buying everything pink, because my husband would kill me if I painted the walls pink, or put a bright pink chandelier up in the house. I still admire the little things in life that are pink though. For example my pink Lilly Pulitzer planner, and pink statement necklaces. If it's  a rainy or snowy day put on a cute pair of Pink Hunter boots. Add a pink blazer or pink accessories to any outfit. A little hue of pink will do the trick and make you feel all girly inside. :)

The color pink can still be glamourous at any age if it is done right.
Let your inner girl out and choose pink next time you are shopping.

Friday Favorites

It's Friday!
I hope everyone had a fabulous week. Now it is time to relax and enjoy your weekend ahead. Maybe have one of the martinis I mentioned on Thirsty Thursdays blog. =)

I am a Target Junkie I'll admit it! Today I went shopping with my sister in hopes to find a cute desk for my second bedroom. She asked me if i had an app called Cartwheel, and I said no, and I had never heard of it. I can not believe I just found this app. It is AMAZING! I might be a late bloomer here and be the last one to get this app, but if you do not have it, go download it, its free. Not only did I score a desk already on sale, I also got 15% off via the app, and another 5% off via my red card. That is an extra 20%!! I was so excited, I had to get a diet coke to celebrate, and it was 10% off that too on the app.

OH! I almost forgot, I also bought a book shelf to go with the desk. It was also on sale! I will post pictures of my new desk and bookshelf after my wonderful husband puts it all together for me. :-)

Revlon has some great products out there. I really like there Perfumerie line for nail polish.

I bought two colors Bordeaux and Moonlit woods. Both colors are truly beautiful. I'll post pictures soon.

JCrew Crystal Rose Necklace
This necklace is so beautiful. It was love at first site. I waited to purchase it till it went on sale, and now you can get it at JCrew Factory Stores or online. I would hurry if I were you, I bet they will go fast!

I have embarked on a new journey and started as a new designer with Origami Owl. I am so excited to start this new adventure. Please check out my link, and help support my new career.

Have a wonderful weekend, and stay tuned for pictures from mine!

Inspirational Board Wednesdays: Home Office

Happy Wednesday!

I am in the process of creating a home office in our second bedroom. It is so exciting picking out everything, from the desk to the little accessories that go on it. I found it fitting to show all of you my inspirations while I create my own office.

I love the clean and crisp look in an office.

There are many stores you can find cute accessories for your own home office. Some of my favorites are Target, Marshalls, Anthropologie and Pier One Imports. I have found some of my favorite pieces at Marshalls, and the prices are unbelievable.

You can find a great desk at IKEA, Pottery Barn and Z Gallerie

One important thing to remember is to have a budget. Believe me you will want to buy everything you see! You can find amazing pieces for any budget you set. Just take your time and shop around till you find what is perfect for you.

Please share with me any of your home office inspiration you might have. =)

Trending Tuesday: Elbow Patches

Hi, It's Trending Tuesday!

Elbow patches are so in right now. I see them everywhere. They are so adorable and can be worn all year around and on any occasion. A simple piece of fabric adds such an impact on an outfit.

There is no wrong way to wear this trend. I personally like the casual look. If I had to choose my favorite, it would be sequin patches. Obviously! =)

Below are cute casual pieces for this look.

If you would like to look a bit more fancy or dressed up, pair one with a high wasted skirt or a dark pair of skinny jeans and a pair of your favorite pumps. Add a chunky necklace and layer your wrist with some jewels. Do a smokey eye with winged eyeliner and make sure to put some color on those lips.

Can't wait to see all the elbow patched this winter and spring!

Comment or email me your favorite trends you would like to see on a future blog post.

Thirsty Thursdays: I'll Have Cranberries With That!

It's Thirsty Thursday!

What girl doesn't like a fun and tasty cocktail to go with her stunning outfit for the night, right? Cocktails can be a girl's best accessory. This week I picked one of my all time favorite ingredients. I mean who doesn't love cranberries? I am going to switch it up week to week, and post fun and flirty drinks. Some weeks I will post recipes I have found on the internet, or drinks I have created myself. For this Thirsty Thursdays i've chosen to pick some tastyy recipes I found online.

Cranberry Cutie Cocktail

3 ounces Sierra Mist Natural
3 ounces Cranberry Juice
Juice from 1 cutie/clementine orange
 1 ounce lime juice
Cutie slice and cranberry sugar for garnish

So here is your method to the madness in making this sweet cocktail: In a shaker filled with ice - mix cranberry juice, lime juice and cutie juice. Then you are going to want to add Sierra Mist Natural and stir it in. Now, strain into two martini glasses with edges that have been dipped in cranberry sugar (i've found sugar to be the same; Truvia works just as well if you want to cut the sugar & sweetness). Last on the list - garnish with a cutie slice.

Cranberry Fiz

6 oz Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash
2 oz fresh squeeze orange juice
   2 oz vodka
     ½ lime, juiced
  Optional Garnish
       lime slices
      fresh cranberries

This one is my favorite of the bunch and here is how you can make it yours - In a glass filled with ice, mix all of the above ingredients together. Then, simply garnish with a few berries of your choice, and a slice of lime. (Comment and let me know about this one)

Cranberry Infused Rum

  2 cups fresh cranberries
    8 cloves
   8 allspice berries
       4 cinnamon sticks
       2 whole star anise

       1 liter rum

Using a mortar and pestle, crush the cranberries. You want to make sure that at least half the fruit is crushed so that they more easily release their flavor and color to the rum. If you don't have a mortar and pestle, pulse the cranberries in a food processor 4-5 times instead.
Divide the cranberries and spices evenly between two quart-sized Mason jars.
Pour the rum over the fruit, dividing it evenly between the jars.
Cover tightly and allow to infuse for 1 week, shaking the jars once a day.
Strain the alcohol and discard the solid pieces. Rinse out the jars and return the rum to them. Cover and refrigerate.

Virgin Pomegranate and Cranberry Bellini's

1 1/2 cups simple syrup, recipe follows
1 1/4 cups POM juice, chilled
1 cup unsweetened cranberry juice, chilled
1 (25.3 fluid ounces) bottle sparkling water, chilled
2 limes, thinly sliced
1 bunch fresh mint, for garnish

In a 6 to 8 cup capacity pitcher, combine the POM juice, cranberry juice and sparkling water.
To each glass, add a slice of lime and a sprig of mint. Pour the bellini mixture into the prepared glasses and serve.

OMG! All of these recipes sound so yummy! What are your favorite cranberry drink recipes? Share with me I would love to hear all about them.

Looks like I am the bartender at my place tonight. =)
Have a fabulous Thursday Night.
